The Blade Handheld Unit

The UVC Blade from American Ultraviolet is a handheld, portable UVC disinfection device designed to deactivate bacteria, viruses and fungi in spaces where traditional hard-mounted UVC fixtures are inconvenient to be mounted; and where portable devices have limited access. Common environments include laboratories and food manufacturing, including food storage and packaging .

In healthcare environments the UVC Blade is ideal for the disinfection of:

• Bathroom handrails, toilet surfaces, sinks, and other surfaces

• Cell phones, chairs, door knobs, bed rails, tray tables, etc.

The UVC Blade is fully portable and plugs into any standard 120V outlet. It comes equipped with a shatterproof UVC high output lamp, an oversized handle designed to maximize grip comfort, an on /off switch, a power cord, and UVC safety glasses.

UVC Sterilization Units

Heatlthguard UVC disinfection units reside in Sterile Processing Departments to safely and quickly disinfects hand-washed items at the transfer window between the Decontamination Area and the Prep Room. UVC Pass Through Window units and countertop models are available.

UVC Dosimeter™ Verifies UVC Exposure

The UVC dosimeter™ is a safe and efficient tool that can be used to verify UVC exposure of a surface, or an instrument, in healthcare environments, including patient rooms and surgical suites; in laboratories; and also in food and beverage manufacturing and processing facilities.

The technology consists of a photo-chromatic ink that changes color when it is stimulated by certain UVC radiation (253.7 nanometers). The UVC Dosimeter from American Ultraviolet:

• Can increase the efficiency of UV disinfection processes designed to reduce HAIs and SSIs, by running shorter cycle times, and providing real–time results.

• Changes color at various energy levels, which correlates with a log reduction of microbiology samples (e.g. MRSA and C. difficile).

• Measures specific wavelengths of UVC radiation

• Can be modified to change color at specific energy levels, depending upon the type of pathogen(s) of concern at your institution

• Is available in quantities of 10, 50, and 100

• Has been tested in laboratory and hospital environments in the United States, Sweden, and the United Kingdom.

Upper Air TB/RAM/CM/ICR Series Germicidal Solutions

TB, RAM, CM and ICR Upper-Air Series in-room air treatment fixtures are designed specifically for continuous upper air UVC irradiation that helps decontaminate the environment around the patient. These trusted fixtures have been successfully used to control the spread of airborne microorganisms and bio-aerosols in hospitals, prisons, clinics and government buildings since 1960. The fixtures incorporate adjustable louvers that safely direct UVC energy above contact level (7+ feet) with occupants, ensuring TB/RAM/CM/ICR fixtures disinfect the air in occupied rooms.
